2018 Women’s Fund Grant Recipient

The Women’s Fund of the Stateline Community Foundation is proud to announce Community Health Systems has been awarded a $1,500 grant for their Medical Diagnostic Procedure project.

This Grant is for earbuds, Mini iPads and a streamable music options to help with the anxiety and alleviate the pain associated with medical procedures for women including uterine biopsies, colposcopy, ultra sounds and pap smears to name a few.

The results of several medical studies and research indicate that listening to music before and during medical procedures significantly alleviates a patients’ anxiety and pain sensitivity levels during the procedures.
