The Women’s Fund of the Stateline Community Foundation is proud to announce Beloit Domestic Violence Survivor Center has been awarded a $1,200 grant focusing on raising awareness of domestic violence and providing training to local service providers and community members.
Beloit Domestic Violence Survivor Center intends to host a national speaker on domestic violence accompanying an interactive simulator to raise awareness of the many barriers victims of domestic violence experience when fleeing an abusive relationship and attempting to rebuild an independent life. This educational and interactive simulator was created by the BDVSC and is based on situations the organization assists survivors receiving services to navigate frequently.
This event will be held in October along with other awareness events in celebration of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
