Stateline Literacy Council Receives $10,000 Grant

Stateline Community Foundation is proud to announce the Stateline Literacy Council has been awarded a $10,000 Community Impact Grant to support their Adult Literacy for Family Success project.

These funds will support programs for low-income adult learners who seek basic education skills. This grant will improve their services and reduce barriers to vital education and life skills for more than 100 learners in 2018-19.

Stateline Literacy Council is a volunteer, non-profit organization and United Way Partner Agency. Founded in 1972, SLC has been in continuous operation serving the community for over 45 years. Our mission is to help English and non-English speaking adults learn basic skills, especially reading, writing and speaking English.
