Bernard E. Barkin Science Scholarship

Bernie Barkin came to Beloit Memorial High School in 1953 as a science teacher. He remained on the faculty until his retirement in 1985. During that time he taught General Science, Chemistry and Biology. He was a strong believer in the world of science for its effect on the environment in which we live. He was also remembered as of one the outstanding coaches in the State of Wisconsin and for bringing a State Championship Basketball trophy to Beloit Memorial High School. It is in his name that this scholarship is presented.
