Community Action, Inc. receives a Community Impact Grant

Stateline Community Foundation is proud to announce Community Action, Inc. has been awarded a $3,000 Community Impact Grant. The funds will be used to support the Merrill Community Sharing Garden, the employment and training program called the Fatherhood Initiative, and a new high school mentoring program-Filling the Void (for young men) and Magnify Your Mind (for young women).

Community Action is a 100% local, not-for-profit organization, operating a broad spectrum of community programs aimed at preventing and reducing local poverty in Rock and Walworth Counties. It operates the Fresh Start program, offers child care, at-risk youth programming, health care, senior benefits counseling, home ownership programs, affordable housing units, home weatherization and rehab, assistance in dealing with a housing crisis, food for area pantries, and shelter for the homeless.
