Peggy (Margaret Eda Knorpp) Neese was born on January 2, 1926 and grew up in Phoenix, Arizona. In 1947, she graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in business administration and married Ebbie Neese with whom she enjoyed more than 55 years of abiding love before her death in 2003.
Peggy had many civic and charitable involvements. In their final home in Phoenix, Peggy contributed greatly to the Columbine Garden Club including publishing its newsletter. Peggy was loved by everyone she met-she was cordial, giving, modest and simply elegant.
Ebbie went to work for Beloit Corporation (then Beloit Iron Works). Ebbie and Peggy moved with their six children to Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Oxshott, Surrey in the UK, and Bolton, Lancashire in the UK, before returning to Beloit. After retirement, they split their time between Phoenix, Arizona and Beloit. In Arizona, Peggy was very active in the Columbine Garden Club. Upon her death, Ebbie created the Peggy Neese Endowment Fund for activities/project which contribute to the beautification of the Beloit Community.
