Friends of the Welty Environmental Center Receives Grant for Overnights with Community Action

Stateline Community Foundation is proud to announce Friends of the Welty Environmental Center has been awarded a $2,000 grant to support their overnight camping trips.

These funds will support programming provided by Welty Environmental Center and room rentals in the City’s Big Hill Center for Community Action youth overnight camping trips.

The Welty Environmental Center is a place where both children and adults can gain hands-on encounters with biological, physical, and chemical elements of nature. It provides a challenge to its users to relate concepts of the natural and social sciences and humanities to environmental, ecological, and related social concerns. Our programs stimulate interest in local, regional, and global environmental issues.
